Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. Miami Beach’s main shopping street is Lincoln Road, the pedestrian mall in South Beach. One week after Thanksgiving, Art Basel Miami Beach fills the city Dec. 4-6, so the two weekends together are the busiest stretch of the holiday shopping season.

Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road runs 14 blocks from Biscayne Bay to the Atlantic. For eight of those blocks, between Alton Road and Collins Avenue, it is a pedestrian mall closed to cars, with stores, restaurants and the open-air structures known as follies. The cross streets stay open to traffic.

The Lincoln Road Business Improvement District lists business hours of 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday and notes that hours vary by store or operator. The street itself is public and open 24 hours. Stores set their own Black Friday and holiday hours; check each store’s own page in the district’s directory before you go early or late.

Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28

American Express created Small Business Saturday in 2010 to bring shoppers to independent stores on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The City of Miami Beach had not announced a 2026 Small Business Saturday event when we checked; we will add any district or chamber event when it is published.

Holiday markets

  • Lincoln Road Farmers Market, every Sunday year-round, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine, on Lincoln Road between Meridian and Washington avenues (market page). On Thanksgiving weekend that is Sunday, Nov. 29.
  • Lincoln Road Antique and Collectible Market, every other Sunday in season on Lincoln Road (market page). The calendar lists each date.
  • The French Market at South Pointe Park, 1 Washington Ave., ran 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, in 2025, with pastries, jewelry, ceramics, home goods and flowers from small businesses (city holiday lineup, 2025). The 2026 date is not out yet.

Parking and traffic

  • Holiday parking rules. The city lists Thanksgiving Day and the day after among its observed holidays. Street and residential-zone signs marked “INCLUDING HOLIDAYS” are enforced on Nov. 26-27.
  • Garages. City garages and surface lots charge city rates, which differ from private garages; the city’s garage and lot locations map shows each one. The Lincoln Road district reminds drivers to check the rate and terms at private lots before parking.
  • Leave the car. The city’s free trolley runs 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week on the South Beach, Middle Beach and North Beach loops, about every 20 minutes. Track it in the Transit app.
  • Art Basel week. Art Basel Miami Beach runs Dec. 4-6, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, just north of Lincoln Road. Expect heavier traffic and fuller garages in South Beach that week. Our road closures page carries city traffic notices as they are issued.
