Bags, kids and accessibility

From the visitor rules:

  • One bag per person. Anything larger than 16 by 8 by 16 inches goes to the free Coat and Bag Check. Backpacks, suitcases and rolling bags of any size are not allowed.
  • Also banned: large umbrellas, selfie sticks, tripods, large cameras, drones, outside food and drink, art materials such as markers and paint, and scooters, skateboards and bicycles.
  • Photos: personal photos and video are fine; cameras must be no larger than 6 by 5 by 3 inches.
  • Everyone is searched at the door.

For families, the children’s page says strollers are welcome throughout the building, nursing pods are in the West Lobby and East Lobby on Level 2, and the free Art Kids childcare program runs during the fair. Free manual wheelchairs and scooters are lent first come, first served at the Coat and Bag Check in the North, West and East lobbies.

Guided tours by ArtNexus run daily during show hours from a desk in the North West Lobby, Level 2; they are booked separately and do not include admission.

Art Week Miami Beach

The fair anchors a citywide week. The City of Miami Beach lists Art Week Miami Beach as Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, 2026, with satellite fairs and partner events across the city; it says more details are coming. The city treats Art Basel as one of the major events it plans for each year, with extra staffing for traffic and trash, under its Major Events Plan.

Getting there, parking and road closures

  • The free city trolley runs through South Beach; see our getting around guide for routes and hours.
  • Parking: the convention center garage is at 1901 Convention Center Drive, as listed in the Miami International Boat Show’s parking guide; Art Basel has not published parking arrangements for 2026.
  • Road closures: the city had not posted an Art Week traffic plan as of Oct. 9. We will add closures here when it does.
